I suspect that "Maisie" hasn't seen the end of her welding days, but for now she's sound. Just got her back from Malc who's repaired all her arches and put protectors on the front ones and coated them in a white paint that stops stone chips.
You can't tell she's had anything done but like I said she's sound undeerneath for the time being.
I even have a windscreen that doesn't leak now.
I picked her from Malc's on Saturday and really enjoyed driving her home.
I was going to paint all the woodwork to brighten up the interior, but there's an awful lot of wood and I think she'll lose her charm, so I'm off to Ikea to buy some decals for the exterior of the bathroom compartment and the other side. I may even try to find something for the bit above the sink. Again just to brighten it up.
Bob's working for someone who does electrics and has recently diversified into general van electrics, so I might get him to look at the fan which squeaks, the electrics overall and see if the Zig unit can take another plug socket.
